1. Is Rigid Steel Framing expensive compared to other framing systems?
No - Our innovative CAD design system ensures economical use of framing thus ensuring that our frames are very competive.

2. When I build with Rigid Steel Framing how much design flexibility do I have?
100 % Recyclable - Rigid Steel Framing is the most environmentally friendly framing system in the world. Millimetre precise construction ensures no waste on or off site. No timber means no need to cut down trees.

3. As an owner builder can I erect a Rigid Steel Frame?
Yes - Our framing is preassembled and clearly marked so provided you can read a simple drawing you will have no trouble at all, and if you do have problems we are only a phone call or email away.

4. Rigid Steel Framing appears to be very thin. Is the frame strong?
Yes - The frame is strong as it is rolled in a particular way to give the cross section additional strength in addition you have the knowledge that all our frames are engineered and checked by a consulting structural engineer.

5. Can I use a Rigid Steel Frame in a cyclone Area?
Yes - you can, all we have to do is increase our design and tie down strengths to suit a cyclone area.

6. I am told that Rigid Steel Framing makes a noise during extremes of temperature?
No - This is an old wives tale we have built hundreds of house frames and we see no more noise than any conventionally framed houses, if it was true people would not build in steel.

7. Is Rigid Steel Framing more suited to concrete slab on ground construction or pier footings?
Yes - Our framing is more than suitable for both types of construction, we can fabricate the piers and floor as a part of our system.

8. When Rigid Steel Framing expands and contracts will the internal linings crack?
No - It is highly unlikely as steel expands and contracts at a similar rate to most other building materials and of course the frame won’t shrink over time.

9. When I use Rigid Steel Framing will my frame rust?
No - We use high tensile TrueCore™ Steel which is coated in zinc and comes with a 50 year warranty. Remember there are a lot of steel roofs on houses exposed to the elements for well over 50 years and they don’t rust.

10. Am I safe if my house is struck by Lighting or exposed to electrical wiring?
Yes - You are safe as the steel frame is earthed and as an added safety measure all new houses by law must be fitted with circuit breakers.

11. Rigid Steel Framing is competitve with other framing systems but are following trades more expensive?
No - Following trades will not be more expensive as we pre punch framing for services, we can install any noggings to any predetermined positions during fabrication and with modern technology most linings can be fixed using a nail gun with special nails. There is no need for ceiling battens or roof battens if you are using a steel roof hence a significant saving.

12. Will Rigid Steel Framing be approved by local councils?
Yes - We provide an Engineers Design Certificate at approval stage and Engineers Frame Certificate on completion.

13. Can I get easily organise home loans from lending authorities?
Yes - In fact it is becoming an advantage to use our framing as it can not be attacked by termites. Termite damage is uninsurable, the last thing a lending authority and you need is a house that has been attacked by termites which will then have to be repaired at your expense.

14. What are the Insurance Options with Rigid Steel Framing?
The insurance companies are indicating that houses constructed with steel frames and steel roofs may in the future have a better rating and a lesser premium.

15. Why Use Rigid Steel Framing Anyway?
Rigid Steel Framing is the system to use for the long term investment of your project. It is lightweight, strong, wont burn, shrink, bend, twist or warp, is immune to termite attack and is engineered to your design and environment
